Welcome to Day 1 of  Day The 30 Appreciation Challenge.  What better day to start an Appreciation Challenge than on Thanksgiving Day.   Each day for the next 30 days, I’ll share with you a prompt to empower you to focus on appreciation.

Most of us have far more negative thoughts than positive ones. If you want to increase your overall happiness, nothing works better than focusing on appreciations.

Day 1 Focus on Family and Friends

Today, I’m grateful for family and friends. I’ve spent Thanksgiving many ways: cooking turkey for family and friends, far away from home with friends and today I’ll celebrate with friends. I’m grateful for our connection, the stories and the tears and laughter we have shared over the years.

I’m thankful for the many years of celebrating Thanksgiving with my Mother.  I’m grateful for her sense of humor. Who are you thankful for that you have celebrated Thanksgiving with this year or in years past?

Next Action Step

During your Thanksgiving celebration or via phone or over Skype if you are for away from home, take the time to tell at least one person, one or more reasons why you are grateful to have them in your life.
